In the future, new personality content will appear on Instagram: Non Fungible Token (NFT) works published or owned by users will be posted.
Instagram announced on August 8 that it will introduce the function to post NFT works to more than 100 countries around the world including Korea. This feature will be presented to artists and creators first, and will be expanded sequentially for all users to use in the future.
Recently, creators use new technologies such as NFT to strengthen copyright of works, form fans and communities, and generate profits. In line with this trend, more people have been able to experience NFT and other Web 3.0 technologies.
You have to connect your digital wallet to share your NFT work on Instagram. When you see NFT works on Instagram as a mobile app when you post them, unlike regular feed posts, NFT posts are subject to sparkling effects and labeled ‘digital assets’.
You can share an introduction to the work, and the creator and owner Instagram account is automatically tagged; no separate fees are charged when displaying the NFT work on Instagram.
Digital wallets that can be connected to Instagram are metamask, rainbow, trustwallet, coinbase and dapper. Supported blockchains are Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow.
“NFT technology enables creators to work and make economic rewards for them,” said an Instagram source. “We will continue to innovate creator support measures in line with the changes in the Web 3.0 era.”
