A number of Korean Edu-Tech companies won the largest e-learning award in Japan. The Japan Online Education Industry Association (JOTEA) will hold the 19th Japan E-Learning Awards and the 3rd Asia Edtech Summit (AES) Global Awards on November 1. Japan’s e-Learning Awards is Japan’s largest e-Learning and Edu-Tech awards, which receive entries for products or services announced by 5,000 e-Learning and Edu-Tech companies and universities in Japan, awarding Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and Health, and awarding outstanding companies in each category.

The name of the AES Global Award has been changed for the special award in the global category of Japan’s e-learning award. The Match Lab, which developed the gamer EduTech solution “My Game Tips,” was selected as the platinum that corresponds to the target. The Gold Award was won by Ruid, the developer of Santa TOEIC, the first TOEIC learning solution based on deep learning. In the silver category, GlobePoint, which developed a multimedia writing tool “VRware Story Builder” that combines metaverse technology, and Pablo Art Company’s “Art Bongbong,” which applied ultra-personalized curriculum with AI technology, were selected, respectively. For Bronze, Trijit Software (interactive video content), Intube (data-based education platform “Tube Run”, and Divis School were selected.

EduTech plans to use the award as an opportunity to expand its presence in Japanese and Asian markets. Globe Point will discuss partnerships and technology partnerships with Wacom, a Japanese tablet company. Ruid will also strengthen its Japanese subsidiary ‘Langu’ business, which was acquired late last year. iPortfolio, Hyundai English, World Vertek, and Ubion, which previously won the AES Global Awards, are winning Japanese projects or pushing to enter the local market.
